My name is Matthew, and I’ve been teaching for about seven years. I studied Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, which gives me a different background and perspective than many other English teachers. I have previously worked in the USA and South Korea, and have been teaching in Prague for just over a year now.

I believe that I can make the world a better place by providing English education. As more people come to share a common language, I believe we will be able to better understand and appreciate each other.

When with friends, I like to spend time outside in Prague’s fantastic green spaces, though I enjoy its pubs as well. I enjoy watching TV and movies, but reading, especially fiction, has to rank first among my hobbies.

Jmenuji se Matthew a jako učitel pracuji už sedm let. Vystudoval jsem biolékařské inženýrství na Univerzitě Johna Hopkinse a díky tomu mám oproti spoustě učitelů angličtiny odlišnou perspektivu a zkušenosti. Dříve jsem pracoval ve Spojených státech a Jižní Koreji, teď už rok učím v Praze.

 Věřím, že výukou angličtiny mohu změnit svět k lepšímu. Čím více lidí se dokáže dorozumět, o to víc budeme schopni si porozumět a ocenit jeden druhého.

 Když jsem s přáteli, rád vyrazím ven do těch skvělých pražských parků, ale místními hospodami taky nepohrdnu. Rád se dívám na televizi a na filmy, ale mým největším koníčkem je čtení, hlavně pak beletrie.
